IRENA and Aalborg University webinar series on District Heating and Cooling

A new series of three webinars will be organised by IRENA in partnership with the Aalborg University and titled “Energy Solutions for Cities of the Future: Enabling the Integration of Low-Temperature Renewable Energy Sources into District Heating and Cooling Systems.”

The main objective of the webinars is to inform policy makers at the national and local level about available options and tools to integrate low-temperature renewable energy sources into district heating and cooling networks. This will build on the ongoing IRENA work on “Energy Solutions for Cities of the Future.”

The first webinar will take place on Monday, 20 April 2020 from 10:00 to 11:30 CEST and is entitled “Strategic heating and cooling planning for the integration of low-temperature renewable energy sources in district energy networks: What key success factors?”.  Further information and registration available here.

The second and third webinars scheduled for May 2020 will focus on the following topics:

  • Webinar 2: 14 May 2020 - Integration of low-temperature renewable energy sources into existing district energy networks and buildings
  • Webinar 3: 25 May 2020 - Enabling framework conditions, financing and business models
