The European Commission has opened a public consultation on the future of EU transport policy. The consultation will gather views for the development of the 'Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy', which aims to accelerate the sustainable and digital transitions and build a resilient and crisis-proof transport sector.
The objectives of the Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy are:
- Increase the uptake of zero emission vehicles
- Make sustainable alternative solutions available to the public and businesses
- Support digitalisation and automation
- Improve connectivity and access
