The Urban Innovative Actions initiative unveils the topics selected for the third and fourth Call for Proposals to be respectively launched at the end of 2017 and 2018.
Building on the feedback received from applicants, the European Commission has decided to announce the topics selected for the next two Calls for Proposals.
These topics are listed below:
2017 call, to be published before the end fo the year:
- Air quality
- Climate Adaptation
- Jobs and Skills in the local economy
2018 call, expected for Autumn 2018:
- Digital transition
- Sustainable use of lands and nature-based solutions
- Urban poverty
- Circular economy or urban mobility
However the list of topics selected for the 4th Call is to be considered as indicative, the Commission services reserve the rights to modify it taking into consideration any emerging important issue for cities.
A full description of the topics (and related sub-topics) along with the Guidance and Terms of Reference will be made available to applicants after summer on the UIA website.
In the autumn, the Permanent Secretariat will organise a series of events and webinars to support urban authorities in their project development and application process.
