What's coming-up for the autumn?!
Following the postponement of the EUROCITIES environment forum to March 2021, we have been developing a programme of alternative meetings, with a twist. So this autumn, we have an exciting calendar of events including a new cross-cutting series on online workshops called Healthy, Thriving and Inclusive cities. This series is a pilot project for EUROCITIES trialling our new ways of working to become truly cross-cutting and goal oriented. As such, it is aimed at tackling transversal issues in a collaborative manner and indentifying key opportunities for transformative change in our post-crisis cities. We'll analyse topics ranging from mobility to health and public space to buildings, all with input from across our forums and working groups.
Individual meetings for working groups
In addition to this series, we will continue with the work in our individual working groups, focusing on more technical topics. As discussed during our last online meeting, we propose to hold a joint session with the working group green areas and biodiversity on integrating green and blue with quiet areas (this is to be confirmed). !OPEN CALL FOR EXAMPLES! Ahead of this, we would like to gather examples of city guidelines and criteria for Quiet Areas and share these among the group; then building on your examples and the discussions, we will develop a set of concrete criteria for Quiet Areas in urban areas.
