This working group works on the various energy implications associated with the transport sector from an economic, environmental and social perspective


Objectives:

  • EU smart cities and communities initiative: working with a proposal for the application of more sustainable urban transport and mobility energy saving through ICT

  • developing a statement on electric vehicles, calling on the EU to act on standardisations of connection and infrastructure

  • collecting best practices on intermodality

  • developing recommendations and collections of best practices on cycling road safety urban planning and training

  • EUROCITIES statement on the white paper on transport: assessing energy efficiency and energy consumption in the transport sector

  • revised white paper on transport: revising our lobbying strategy and agreeing on next steps
